Easy and instant access to the required information would often be a decisive criterion for the success of a digital product in the on-going digital age.
Born and grew up surrounded by technologies and computers, digital natives no longer imagine life without obtaining information on-the-go at any time and aren’t used to deep and time-consuming search in order to find the answer to their questions.
Most Digital Natives don’t think about how a program or app might work, and don’t take the time to figure it out. They will dive straight into it and expect it to work quickly and intuitively. Not taking into consideration these conditions in the design process of any digital product may lead to its lack of active users in the future.
Present online sportsbooks and betting systems, in our opinion, aren’t ready for the new generations of users and have a very high enter threshold.
Not mobile-oriented. The number of mobile users among digital natives is much higher than desktop users. At the same time, most of the existing sportsbooks are not adapted to be used from mobile devices.
Cluttered visual design and information representation. Attempt to show as much data as possible on one screen leads to the lack of visual hierarchy and as a result makes it much harder to obtain information.
Low user engagement. Existing sportsbooks lack engaging user interactions and are often used to find necessary information without any further involvement.
Outdated technologies. Nowadays, there are a lot of new technologies available for creating better user experience within digital products, which aren’t used in the existing sportsbooks.
Having an extensive experience working with this kind of complex systems, we in Flatstudio decided to address the problems listed above and designed the REWIND application, showing that complex sportsbooks can be easy-to-use and engaging for new users as well as experienced sports enthusiasts.
